Hello everyone, Ifunanya here again from @loveitslight. I have a very peculiar post for you today. I had English homework from school, which was to create a 3-verse dizain lyrical poem. If you don't know what that means. it is a 3-verse 10-lined poem about love and hatred, and I decided to share it with all of you today.
As the world, once bright, fades away,
A journey right, never led astray.
Light and dark once ruled my way,
Yet love still shines in the dark passageway.
It hasn’t burned, nor sparked to ignite,
Let alone won a fateful fight.
Hatred and despite, writing and strife,
An untold forthright, a persevering life.
But where is the faith once held so dear?
My first love—mi amor—once sincere.
Letting go of what we had before,
Running away from what we endured.
Don’t despise or let demise
Break the bond—our love’s reprise.
No hate, no contrast, just longing for you to last.
One more chance, baby—maybe the last.
One more night, resting deep in your might.
If you can resonate with this, please send me in the comments.
Also, make an effort to create your own personal poem about an experience you want to share (think of it as homework) and send it to my Gmail 'ifunanyaumolu24@gmail.com'
Back to the poem:
I really have no experience whatsoever with relationships and love, but I thought that I needed some really emotional and realistic expressions in order to create an expressive poem. Relationships are complex structures that require communication and collaboration between the man and woman. In my poem, the woman is reaching out to her man by telling him to be patient and sustain, not letting doubt creep in into their relationship. If you think otherwise tell me your opinion.
That's it for today, and remember always love your light
